Off To The Beach

I'm leaving in a few minutes for Seaside, Oregon, as the household members have been asked to attend my fiance's father's family reunion. It's been hot and humid here in the Valley lately, and it's always a lot cooler down on the Pacific coast (high of 68 degrees today!). It'll be a nice change of pace.

If you have a spare few minutes today, I'd suggest reading Victor Davis Hanson's latest work for the National Review: And Then They Came After Us. Also highly recommended is Michael Totten's first piece for Lebanon's Daily Star: Lebanon and Iraq: partners in freedom. Congratulations, Michael!
