Rest In Peace, Papa

Pope John Paul II, the only Pope I've known in my intellectually aware life, has passed away. I think history will show that this Pope was one of history's greatest, strengthening the Church and showing love and compassion at everything he did. He was a great man, and destined to be a saint, probably sooner than anyone thinks.

You can watch President Bush's public statement on his passing here, at Jackson's Junction's blog:

We're grateful to God for sending such a man, a son of Poland, who became the Bishop of Rome, and a hero for the ages.

Amen.
