World Court of Jesters

Today, the World Court today told Israel that it must tear down the security fence that it's been building to keep out the suicide bombers. They said that it has imposed hardship on Palestinians.

Right, of course.

Making some Palestinians have to go through checkpoints to go to the market or go to work is comparable to having entire families blown to bits while sitting down to Passover meal. The fact that it's working, and the security fence has contributed to the end of the intifada, of course, has nothing to do with this either, right?

And some people wonder why the United States won't agree to sign a treaty blindly following all the World Court's rulings. Today they made a mockery of themselves, and proved again why the idea of a world governing body is centuries off.
