Michael Totten is Back from Africa

Welcome back, Mike. Glad you made it home safe and sound.

I'm a regular reader of Michael's blog, and for good reason: he's probably one of the sanest spokespeople for the left of this country. We worked together for a long time, and had lots of great conversations about a myriad of topics. We'd disagree quite regularly, but almost invariably about domestic and local policies -- not foreign policy. He knows his stuff, and any conservative that thinks that everyone else on the "other side" is plain nuts would do themselves a favor by bookmarking his site.

A few days ago, he commented that a couple weeks off of blogging, while trouncing around northern Africa, had noticeably cut his site traffic. Today, though, he was linked by the big man himself: Instapundit. I'm not feeling sorry for him any longer. For those not interested in politics, he has a tremendous photo essay of his Tunisian experiences that's well worth the time.
