Clash Between Bishops and Democratic Representatives

Unfortunately, I don't have a heck of a lot of time to post today (planning a summer trip to Las Vegas this lunch), but through Hugh Hewitt, I did find this Washington Post article about an open letter signed by 48 House of Representatives Catholics denouncing the recent insistence of some individual U.S. Bishops that if a lawmaker votes against the Church on certain, serious matters, they could be denied Communion. Read it. I don't have much to add to my comments over the past week on the subject -- at least not right now.
