A Great President

I may have problems with small parts of the PATRIOT Act, I definitely have problems with the seemingly out-of-control non-military spending going on in Washington under his watch, and without a doubt, his communication skills will never be perfect. Still, President Bush's foreign policy, ever since 9/11, has been nothing short of amazingly bold. This aspect of his presidency was underlined in his recent speech to the National Endowment for Democracy, which if you haven't read, you should. In my opinion, this sea change is great for the long term of the security of our nation and the state of freedom throughout the world. Not perfect, mind you, but damn close. Daniel Pipes sums up these changes and their historic nature well (thanks to LGF).
